Because stax only released 1 new flagship headphone in the past 2 years.

I'm pretty sure the Omega 2 MKii exceeds 2 years, if not....you can disregard my poll or treat it as a dynamic headphone only..... if the O2 Mkii were included it would surely rank in the top 3 no questions, however most I've spoken to who have heard both, prefer the mk-i which would make voting for the mkii less preferable even if you prefered it over the other listed headphones.

Just to update, the Omega II MKii is in fact over two years old as was my suspicion.  I'm glad the poll is still relevant:-)

very true, well of the ones I have actually heard being the Ultrason ed8, the T1 and the hd800. I think I'll have to give it to the hd800.

The Hifiman sounded good at CanJam, I enjoyed it, but not enough to buy one.  I didn't like the Ed. 8 at all.  Nor have I liked the other Ultrasones I've heard.

 

Anyhow, I voted for the HD-800.  It's still a favorite and I listen to it all the time.  I also think the JH13 and LCD2 are strong headphones, and will probably get around to picking up the JH13 sooner or later.

I voted PS 1000, I sold my HD 800 as the PS 1000 became my go to phone. I have a set of LCD-2s ordered.
