I'm looking for some closed cans now so I'm in no need for these Grados. Now, I know these mods aren't for everyone but what I've done:
- aluminum covered
- spray painted black
- flat topped screws as the rods
- nylon sleeving on bottom part of cable
- reterminated to switchcraft mini
- punched holes over the foam on the driver holes for more bass
- foam in the inner driver housing
- big fat Y splitter
Now, here are some things I'm not to happy about:
- I ran out of money for more sleeving so the top part of the cable is just wrapped in black electrical tape
- the headband has tape on the bottom to cover up the little piece missing
So what do you get?
- Grado 325i
- Headphile C-pads
- Jumbo and bowl pads
- Set of plastic distancers
- Original buttons + pizza box

This was bought from another Headfier less than 3 months ago. His post:
Well, last winter I built a Starving Student Millett Hybrid amplifier using the PCB and the custom Beezar/Hammond case (see thread). I finally got to do some serious listening and it seems that I don't like tube amps. At least not with my other equipment. Therefore, I'm selling it.
I basically used the normal configuration as most other people who built this, except:
- I used 100000Ω resistors instead of 50000Ω on R16 and R17.
- The tube sockets have gold plated contacts instead of bare ones.
- I used OCZ Freeze thermal compound under the heatsinks.
- Although the tube sockets are cleared in the center and there are white LED's on the PCB, they aren't wired and stuck through the tube sockets. You can see them shining though the headphone socket when you turn on the amplifier. If you like white LED's you can take them out and thread them through the holes.
I will include two matched 19J6 tubes, a power supply, and leftover parts from construction.
To go along with the amp I will include a 15 foot mini to spit RCA cable.
Price: $450 -> $420 -> $390+ shipping
