SOLD: AKG K701, with APS balanced cable *reduced*

Up for sale is a pair of AKG K701 headphones, with a balanced 6' A Pure Sound dual-terminated cable with 4-pin XLR termination. The cable upgrade retails for over $250 alone, and Moon Audio charges $560 for these with their cheapest balanced cable and connector.

The only blemishes that I could find are two VERY minor scuffs on the top of the headband. Otherwise they are in excellent, like-new condition, so I am rating them 8/10.

The price is $320 $275 shipped to your PayPal address in the USA, extra to your PayPal address elsewhere.

Q: Can you tell me the approximate age of the headphones, whether you're 1st/2nd owner, and the mod, is it the V3 cable from apuresound, and whether it works ok?

A: I don't know the age of the K701. It was a gift for compensation on an amp deal gone bad from another Head-fier with a very good rep who is going to an all-Stax system. I was interested in getting a second pair for comparison as I thought it was a Moon Audio cable because of the XLR and the sheathing, but it turned out to be an APS cable, I am not sure which version. But because they have a different cable than my other K701, I don't need them since they are not identical to the pair I already have. They are really like new, the pads are in great condition, and I would be surprised if they had very many hours on them; they may not even be entirely burned in. The small scuff on the top of the headband is the only imperfection in them, and it is so small I never noticed it until I was listing them for sale. The scuff shows up very well in the photos however...
