New IEM

So I recently shipped back my second pair of Maximo HS5's the first one's left channel just died, and this one arrived with a frayed cord.  I'm really sad because I loved the way these headphones sounded, but if they're going to keep breaking like this I don't want to get another replacement.

My budget is at most 60 dollars.  I payed 50 for the HS-5s.  What can you recommend that is similiar to them but with better build quality, or do you think i should get a replacement or try out the ip-590 ( No mic version. )  ?

Brainwavz M1. Very good overall and fairly similar to the iM-590/HS5 in sound sig and the cord is much sturdier.

I put a friend onto the recent M1 sale for $29.60.

I heard it when she received it and i was very impressed with it.

I wish i bought one when the special was on.

Guess I'll wait for the next special

Your replacement iP-HS5 will have a new cable and connector that are both more durable and more user-friendly (the cable is softer / more supple, and the plug is easier to grip, with a "J"-angle that allows for a wider range of motion).

Sorry, don't quite get what your saying here.  My next replacement will have a different cable and plug?

Also, do you guys think it would be worth it to wait for the m2?

If you like the balance and bass quantity of the HS5, the M1  is a better choice than the M2.

huh....this is if i get a replacement from maximo?  My last one was from amazon.  Is the cord different as well?

Also, I was wondering if i return it if i could just get a 590 back, I have no use for the mic anymore, it just gets in the way.

Yes, the cord is more durable (more resistant to fraying) and softer / more supple feeling (not so easy to kink like the old one).

It should not be a problem to arrange. Submit an RMA form, and simply note it in the comments near the bottom. So you don't find the button useful, for iPod song pause/skip?

Oh no It's just I don't own a iPhone/iPod anymore, so literally there is no use for it.

Thanks, I'll submit a RMA form right away.

Submitted one 2 days ago, any idea when I might get a response?  Will it be by email?
