The amp for sale here is the Antique Sound Lab MG-Head OTL Mark II. The amp is in very good condition. Features two inputs (RCA and 1/8" for iPods/mp3 players) and two headphone output jacks so two can enjoy great sound simultaneously.
From what I understand, the difference between the Mark II and Mark III (latest revision) is primarily cosmetic when they changed the chassis. Both Mark II and Mark III differed from the original by utilizing a separate power supply from the amp to avoid hum/interference.
This is one of the most versatile tube amps I've ever heard because in addition to tube rolling capabilities, it also allows you to choose between OTL or transformer coupled outputs. Traditionally, OTL is used to drive high impedance cans (Sennheiser HD580/600/650/800, Beyerdynamic 250 ohm or 600 ohm cans, AKG K240 Sextett, etc.) and transformer outputs for low impedance (Grados, Audio Technica, AKG K701, etc.). The Mark II also has a switch to turn on or off negative feedback in the circuit. This changes the sound between a more linear/neutral sound and a more fun warm tubey sound. In essence, having the choice between OTL/Transformer and the negative feedback switch is like having 3 different sounding amps for each set of tubes you put in. It's a really cool feature.
If you do a search, you will see many comments about how this amp has great synergy with the Sennheiser HD580/600/650 series.
It will also come with a box of different tubes so that you can roll to tailor to your tastes or headphones.
