New to Ultrasone - Burning in Ultrasone Pro900 - what to expect

Thread Starter

i'm new to ultrasone. i had both cables terminated in nice 3.5 jacks at place of purchase. i'd rather adapt to a 1/4. any suggestions to get the most out of this headphone? also, how many hours am i looking at, and what intensity of burn? should i pump some extra current into these puppies?

its sounding very well balanced left to right chanel, right out of the box, but a slight touch of grain and spit and boom as per many new phones. biiig fat bass, monstrous :D. more top end than all my beyers. will they match the DT150 overall? can i expect the top end to settle and smooth a touch?

wow, what a light (lightest i have) and comfy pair of phones, and that short coily cord and packaging/bag is brilliant for most purposes or travel. if the sound just buffs and tightens up a bit, i'm excited.

cheers

Have you done the Kees' mod yet? I was pretty happy with mine stock but modded them anyway for fun and they sound much better. I'd suggest you give it a try as it is very easy to reverse.
