Hi All.  New to this site although google always sends me here when I do searches.  Lots of good information....for us audio fiends.

Anyways I listen to dubstep (some jungle), hiphop, and raggae.  Bass heavy..low frequency music.  I just purchased the Shure 750DJ for $100 (hasn't arrive yet).  I use my smartphone as an MP3 player (HTC HERO).  I want my headphones to play up to their potential.  What type of amp would work best?  I heard that the NuForce would work best with "bassy" headpones.  What are your thoughts?

Also, if you purchase a high end MP3 player is there the need for an amp?  What MP3 players (if any) supply adequate power?  I assume they must have sometype of internal amp.

Much love....

Sorry for all the posting but one more thing:

I've read posts indicating that these portable headpone amps don't work for MP3 players that have a built-in amplifier, unless there is a dedicated line out (a line that bypasses media amp).  I would assume all MP3 players have built in amp (just a low quality one).  Does this make any sense?  I've never seen a MP3 player with two lines out...(1) for amped sound and (2) to bypass amp.

they do work, just some players (some more than others) offor a cleaner sound from their line out than from their hp out.  if its one with a crap hp out feeding into an amp isnt going to help you much.

as for E7 or Icon Mobile, if your after more bass them you want the E7 and i suspect you may.  the Icon Mobile is bright and bass taming
