About 10 or so pages back I posted  a link to member MadLustEnvy's measurements

Someone posted them some time ago... There's not much difference (audible anyway). I think Vegan pads retain slightly more treble.

It's mostly about comfort, IMO.

Thanks. I'm looking for something third party, more along the lines of Tyll's graphs, though. The Audeze graphs have too much smoothing to make any accurate judgments.

It would also ideally be measured with the same drivers, to limit variables. MadLustEnvy's are two different serial numbers.

IIRC When someone asked audeze engineers about the fazors cutting sub bass he basically scoffed at the idea saying that even a slight adjustment of the pads would change the graph and getting two pairs in the same exact seal/position was impossible.

hmm, yes ,i was starting to get worried about the leather/skin contact. With the older 'pre-fazor' leather pads my ears become a bit warm and sweaty.

But a way better than the Denon pads.

with the Fazor leather pads now i'm very pleased.

What's about the hygienics using the vegan pads for a longer time ?

How does the rougher surface looks after a few months ? Especially the Headband surface ? Will it looks greasy?

( Hope my english here is undrstandable ! ;))

Hmm, I don't own them long enough to comment on this. But from what I know, microsuede is generally very durable and stain resistant material.

yes ! i think the same way !

It's very difficult to measure headphones in exactly the the same position.Ok ,they use the very good Neuman KU 100 but i think it's difficult to place all Headphones exactly the same position.
Pads, drivers, frames are all slightly different too.

Just use a microsuede cleaner that's sold for furnishing fabric, Audeze advised this to me

Hey Guys,

I just received my second set of LCD2Fs. I sold the other pair because I thought I couldn't come to terms with the comfort, but I couldn't find the same sound quality and tone in anything else I tried. Love the sound. The only thing is the gimbals are bent, so I have to contact audeze for a replacement. The other thing is that I just received the new FR graph which is noticeably different. Is this due to testing anomalies? ie due to placement on the measurement head etc.  I wish I had the first pair to compare it with. I kinda like the the look of the old pair as it is higher in the 30hz range and the treble is overall lower. More my cup of tea :)

That 11k spike.. Is that new in the fazer version?

It seems to be older than that, the Fazor really only effects efficiency and driver control/timing.

I am really sensitive to sibilance, it's why I sent the HE500 back, besides the sound quality not being as good :). These don't sound as sibilant to me, but I don't remember having any sibilance at all on the older pair. That is why I am kinda second guessing the new pair.

So what I heard about more treble and better soundstage is false?

Sucks because these are two things I disliked about the pre-fazor model.

The treble is more open and clear, and hits wider out in the soundstage due to better timing control. Treble not louder IME, but the Fazor seems to give it a more neutral appearance in the image - worth hearing IMO. The LCD-X is said to be the brightest of the Audeze's (and sounds so to my ears), but its FR doesn't measure that differently from 2.2F's, as an example.

Similarly, soundstage comes from not just frequency response and driver angle, but a lot of it comes from timing cues for your ears - enhanced by a more cohesive magnetic field.

Again, this is all just what I think. It's a really complicated issue of engineering and the not-so-understood brain/ear system.

Is there any similarities in the 400i vs the lcd2
