Any dated after Dec. 18th on the manufacture date are Fazor equipped. Mine is on here somewhere, many have been posted. Most have a 3 dB dip in the bass around 40 hz as a giveaway.

Is it what Audeze told you or you think so?

Thanks for the advice with comfort, I'll try that.

I agree, I heard the same about the G100 being compared to Lehmann Black Cube Linear, it sounded really good with my HD 650 and AT W1000X
Trying an other amp to have a comparison point is a good idea

With my Audeze (non fazor) and the LP the sound was nice, good bass with lots of details but to my ears lacking emotions and life

I might be wrong but to me the Lcd2's need an amp that emphasizes the quality of the phones and it wasn't the case (I only have 2 amps and 2 dac so take my advice with a grain of salt)

Give your brain some time to get used to the signature first with long listening sessions before making your opinion

I finally think that i'm able to post my LCD-2 short impression after few weeks of having them. I was in love with my Rev 2 from the first day and all my weight concerns was gone after few hours - they were not as comfortable as my Senn's HD600 (as i might wear them for days) but they were fitting so good that having them on my head for hours wasn't a problem. The clamping was alright - i like to feel that pads are going around my ears and are fitting tight (definitely not too tight).

The Sound is just glorious. Lots of good controlled bass, flawless mids and clear highs although as many knows this is the weakest point of LCD-2's. I miss a little sparkle in highs that's all. Nothing crucial.

I also have LDC-XC and it's a definitely a different can. To be honest i i find LCD-2 better for my likings. It's more like being on live gig when listening LCD-XC is more like listening a great, to quote Audeze, "multi-thousand dollar" hi-fi system. And i prefer that "being there" LCD-2 experience. And it's just my LCD-2 Rev 2 without fazor! I can't wait to hear fazor version or LCD-3. LCD-X is tempting as well. So many great cans so little time.

Is there an all-in-one amp/DAC that just lines up perfectly with the LCD-2's ?

(apart from CHORD HUGO which is out of my range at 1500 pounds !)

You have plenty of them:

Matrix Mini-i Pro (budget dac/amp, much better dac than amp, but some people likes it with their LCD-2s)

Audio GD NFB-28 (really really good match)

Violectric V200 with DAC module version

Violectric V281 with DAC module, goes beyond your range I think, but is a killer.

Oppo HA-1

Burson Conductor Sabre ES9018 version.

Nope, but as the reviews say, its very neutral and the ES9018 mixed with that neutral amp plus enough power must be a beast!

DO try the NFB 28, I have it's "little brother" the now discountinued NFB 10ES2 [which I think WAS selling for the same price as the NFB 28 is now [lucky me]

Non the less, the two amps share a simmilar Dac design with the ESS sabre chips, the NFB28 has a little more and a little cleaner power

I am also getting a chance to listen to an LCD rez 2.2f here soon I'll let you guys know how it compares
