Audeze LCD-2 Impressions Thread - Page 195

Also, for those of you playing at home, the Audeze website currently states the LCD 2 as: $1,145 USD.

Current conversion rates put that price as: $1,234.26 AUD.

I can't see it on their store either. Makes me worried, because A2A seems to gain a monopoly on many brands and models - hope the LCD2 doesn't go that way.

Hope headphonic gets the TH500RP and PM-1.

Hmm..

I can't seem to find the LCD 2.2 for sale anywhere else in Australia.

^ Don't you guys have GST on top? I know we do here in Kiwiland.

Right now though LCD3 prices are better than I could do importing (with shipping and our 15% GST included).

Interesting - I can't seem to find the LCD 2 on the headphonic store.

Where else in Australia sells the LCD 2?

http://www.addictedtoaudio.com.au/

It looks like there are also two other Audeze dealers in Australia, however, this is the only one with a website listed.

Thanks! Also, woah, that's interestingly close to Addicted to Audio.. How odd.

If anyone is interested, I did some experimenting with the "Wood care kit" that comes with the LCD 2.2 Yesterday:

Is the wood care kit supposed to be liquidy, or more of a wax? Mine is somewhat of a solid in the container, is something wrong with it?

It looks like there is also another Audeze dealer that is very close to the other two -

Jaben Audio

Shop 2, 398 Lonsdale Street
Melbourne, VIC, 3000

Their website doesn't have Audeze on it, however, they're one of Audeze's dealers.

Is it squishy solid? Mine had to have a lot of "love taps" (me smashing the bottle into my hand) before I could see any come out, onto the cloth.

Hmm. A2A and Tivoli both have the Rosewood/leather LCD 2.2 for $1550. Are we seeing a permanent price increase in Australia?

If so, I wonder why?

Yeah, it's squishy solid, and the bottle is only about 1/3 full.

Yup! Same as mine. Put the lid on, turn it upside down, bang it onto a table to make it all fall to the lid. Open the lid, dab the cloth..

Winning!

Not being from Melbourne, I had never heard of Tivoli, but I know Jaben - no good for anyone out of Melbourne as their online store is shambolic - half of the things are out of stock or not made anymore.

I'm very tempted to buy a LCD2 second hand personally, but I found the comfort to be not up to scratch for me puny neck :p

Maybe I could listen to them why lying on my bed with a pillow, sounds like a plan.

Hey just wondering if you guys have the same problem I have regarding the physical headphone itself and not the sound. There is a lot of clamping force on my head. Like, enough that it makes my jaw hurt. There is a lot of pressure that is being put towards the front end of the headphones and into my jaw area just right behind my cheekbone. Is this because my head is too big or something? I've tried putting the headphones on box while I sleep to try and stretch the headband out a little but to no avail. I have looked on auduze's website about the extended adjuster bars but the placement for me is fine, its just the clamping force is really too much. Any thoughts?
