I got my new LCD-2 revision 2's 23 February 2012. My previous headphones were Grado 325is, which are VERY bright. In comparison I find the Audeze's very, very dark with noticeable lack of treble. I would describe them as sometimes claustrophobic, a boxed in kind of sound, I am hoping this is because I am used to the Grado sound and I will get used to my LCD's. In all other areas I find my LCD's wonderful, astonishing bass and imaging, etc.
I am hoping my ears will get used to them, I want so much to love them. Did this happen to you? What do you think?
Congrats on your LCD-2 and welcome to Head-fi!
Give yourself time to adjust, as you said the 325i is quite bright even for a Grado, and the tilted-up treble can give the impression of a larger soundstage. The rev.2 is the brightest out of all the LCD-2/3's so you should be okay if you stick with it but that's still a pretty radical transition. While you adjust your perception don't listen to the Grados and when you do finally go back to them they will be way too bright. Of course YMMV but yours is a pretty normal reaction for someone coming from the 325i.
