Sold: W1000X, DX 700

Hello all!

Time for me to part with some very beloved equipment, in the hope to draw ever closer to audio nirvana.

My source is in dire need of an upgrade, and I simply have too many headphones for one pair of ears. (blasphemy I know)

I have posted about all the headphones I am selling here, so I won't say much at all. Their prestige should sell themselves.

1) The recent and extremely sexy W1000X. A warm, and very musical headphone with excellent detail. Classy on all levels.

2) The lesser known JVC, the DX 700. Stellar soundstaging and balance through the spectrums. A headphone for the soundstage lover, rainy days, or movies. A touch delicate, but very rewarding.

3) The Sony SA5K, a headphone that shows despite all of Sony's mediocre headphones, at one point they truly were the king of headphones. A fairly bright depending on your tastes, extremely quick, and brutally detailed. comfy to boot too. For those who want to hear what is missing, this is it.

All of the headphones have been treated with love and respect, and been used strictly on hi-fi equipment. All headphones are as close to cosmetically perfect as possible. None have been modified in anyway, cable, dampening or otherwise.

All headphones come in original packaging, with original accessories (if applicable) and warranty leaflets. All were bought online, so I have no receipts to send.

I have had many pleasant experiences dealing with the wonderful people on head-fi, so if you are not interested in keeping it that way, please do not contact me. Other than that, I am open to offers, but no super low balls please.

Canadians, then Americans will have priority, but I am willing to ship worldwide as long as people understand the greater costs will have to be on their end, and if it is a risky country, all risks are on their end. I will insure a package however people want, but again, will not be responsible for the outcome if something happens and a package was under-declared etc. I will obviously do everything in my power to fix thing should something go wrong.

Pictures will be up soon.

Thank you for your time.

American strongly preferred... CDN is at 95 cents US anyways so by the time you add on bank or paypal tax it is pretty much the same.

Hopefully these stay in Canada.  I would snatch up the JVC if I wasn't trying to finish piecing my own vintage gear or looking for an electrostat.  These are great prices!

I hope so too, because it is so hard to get items such as these in Canada, considering we neighbor the US... but I am happy to send them anywhere.

GL for the electrostats... check audiogon every day!

Come on fellow Canadians, these are great buys!  Free bump!

Hard to find Canadian sellers on audiogon, especially low to mid-fi stuf (lol), I usually check Canuck Audio Mart, you should post over there too, and local Kijiji (for vintage gear).

Hello All,

Sorry I did not have time to get back to everyone - I do thank everyone for your PMs.

The DX 700 has been sold to Skylab, and the W1000X has been sold to K_19.

Thanks to all for your interest.

The Sony SA5000 are in excellent condition as well, and still for sale.

SA5K is being withdrawn temporarily. I will be buying a Phoenix and Ref/NFB-7 and I would like to see how they performed balanced and with a better source.
