Have you searched the internet? There's a lot of sites allowing people to download user manuals in PDF-format. On many you don't have to register. Try Sony's websites also.

any reason why you need it? if you order it online from outside the EU it will not be volume limited.

Ive looked into the Service Menu of the S544 / S545.

Unfortunately there is not place to disable the volume limit or no DAC adjustments like in the A82-  A72- series.

I dont understand Sony. What are they thinking ?

"some people are adjusting the DAC settings, well we better stop that"

I'm in the US, and I had the S545 for 8 or 9 months....I had no volume limits to deal with, of course, but I never felt any need to tinker with any DAC setting.....the Clear Bass and the 5 band EQ gave me all the adjustment that I needed.

I agree that clearbass and the 5 band EQ can create a very good custom Eq, but it a lot of fun to tinker with the DAC settings to personalise the signature of the player..

Lucky my A828 isn't volume limited either.

I'm sure if I could have done it, I would have at least tried it out.
