help required for DIY iMod 5.5G video Dock

Thread Starter

hi guys, i met with a problem with DC offset and wish to seek whatever help i can get from here.

I have recently done diymod on my ipod, as such i require a cap to block off the DC offset.

The dc out from ipod is 1.5V.

my connection is as follows

L out from Ipod > | | (cap) > To amplifier L

R out from Ipod > | | (cap) > To amplifier R

G from Ipod > To amplifier G

with the above connection, i still detect a DC offset 200mV at the output.

The cap i used are Mcap MKP film cap, 2.2uF 400Vdc

can anyone advise me what went wrong and how do i remedy it?

Bad caps?  Should be 0VDC after cap, that's kind of the idea of a coupling capacitor.

is my connection correct?

i tried changing to another 0.22uF wima 100vdc, the result is the same.

what else could be wrong?

Output of what?  How are you measuring?

I measure between "To amplifier L" and G for left output and between "To amplifier R" and G for right output.
