It will come soon --- like early 2011.  Something many people don't know is that the economy has made obtaining parts difficult...you would think it would make it easier.  Companies stopped making parts because they didn't know if they would have customers, which created long lead times, which did make them have fewer customers.  So there is often a long wait ...16 weeks, 25 weeks, 1 year....for many parts right now.  And some companies like RIM and Apple are taking the entire supply of some parts right now

That's a damn shame. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing/hearing the finished product, though. Is the power supply similar to the G Lite power supply?

I don't care about the name, but loop outs would be nice and possibly a deal breaker for me personally.

you mean with, or without?  i think active pre-amp outputs are far more useful than loop outputs especially since this amp is made for modern desktop setups where people often have some kind of bookshelf speaker.  If you have multiple pieces of equipment, get the loop out from another piece or put a splitter on your source.

I meant without because I have multiple amps in my rig (one of which already has no loop out), but you're right I could always use a splitter.

why not just search for “headamp x2” or “gilmore x2”?...with or w/o quotes...

Something that looks like Blue Hawaii, has unity gain, comes with an optional usb dac.....etc etc

 

Wow, I'm very curios! Subscribing to see more as that sounds like a perfect desktop amp. I hope there is an option for an orange front led. Orange leds make gear sound warmer :P
