Sound like a very attractive package based on the features, and a sure hit as well. I'm looking forward to hearing one.

Hey Justin, is the "Gilmore X2" name final? Whether it is or not, I think you might want to change it to something that can be more easily searched on Head-Fi to have specific results.
Also will this amp still be using the Dynalo circuit? It sounds like it based on the name you're giving it but just wanted to make sure.

This is very interesting and I like the feature list. Most DAC/amp combos seem to be compromised in some way by having both in one box, but it seems you're making a serious effort to counter that. I'm also curious what DAC you'll be using for it. A reckon a solid one-box solution under $1k would certainly be welcome.

Will, the 24/96 Asynchronous USB DAC require a custom driver to be installed, or will it be plug and play?

This is great news and it will be a great amp no doubt. My only worry would be the wait time from pre-order until delivery. I know this is the game we all must play if we want to taste the HeadAmp cake.
I too am very interested to see pics.

The HeadRoom Micro Stack I had was around the same amount, and sounded great for a desktop system. Better sound, and All-in-one would be awesome. Cant wait to see the pics.

Good point. The Gilmore GX2 would give 3 characters to search for instead of 2. Maybe Gilmore GLX, Gilmore DacX, or Gilmore LiteX, or Gilmore DAC lite, etc...

Toss the "Gilmore" and just call it the HeadAmp GX2. Bam, done.

Yep. And Headamp GDX2 if it includes the DAC. Or even Headamp GX2D with the DAC, so that the search for "GX2" would pull up both amps.

I trust Justin not to have a Nvidia-class cocked up naming scheme.
