Hmm, I think we may be moving past "early 2011" :P

I'm very interested also.  I don't buy/sell/trade amps much.  I bought one amp 2 years ago and I still listen to it but lately I've been wanting to explore SS.  This could well be my "other" amp.

As we probably by now when Justin said early 2011 really means late 2011.  I have no problem waiting, his stuff always worth waiting.

Holy crap!!! Here I come out of hiding to look for a used Gilmore Lite, and this is what I find. A new freaking amp/DAC! Justin, you know the deal - please put one aside for me with an optional DAC and any other bells or whistles you will come up with.

Thank you sir beerchug.gif

Too bad there isn't a preorder or something for this so some of the proceeds can go to the Japan relief effort [link].

Im down for a pre-order asap... I dont mind paying for the whole unit now actually. Then its out of the way for me, i emailed Justin a few weeks back and no reply. Im sure he is swamped with orders as always ;)

Per the GS-1 description at: http://www.headamp.com/home_amps/gs1/index.htm

"A lot of thought has also gone into the module-based nature of this amplifier.  Each amplifier board is socketed on gold-plated pins and further secured with a pair of screws.  We will be releasing new amplifier modules in the future as we continue to evolve the design, so your amplifier will never become obsolete.  These module boards can be replaced/installed without difficulty or electronics knowledge."

Q: Any chance new (more powerful) amplifier modules are being developed as part of this project?  If so, would those modules be applicable to existing HeadAmp amplifiers?

Was really looking forward to this but I guess we'll get it sometime mid / late 2012 probably.  The world might end by the time it's ready to ship though.

Cheer up, Poetik! Most Headamp's are worth the wait. Ohhh... who am I kidding? I can barely see straight, I'm so 'amped' to see what this puppy looks (and eventually sounds) like! L3000.gif
