WTB: UE Triple.Fi's

Any condition, I'd like to get my friend a going away present for university. Obviously, being a uni student myself automatically makes me poor, so I'm looking at anything under $100 preferably. One with a mic would be preferable over the regular version, but not necessary.

Thanks, Brendan

Kind of hard to find them around that price, I was on that same search for about five weeks myself.

Either way, G/L.

Shouldn't be too hard, they were on sale for $99 brand new a few months back, I'm looking for the silver-boxed variants.

in regards to the price specifically, would it be fair to assume that the market value is obviously higher than what you are expecting and that regardless of the amazon unit being a promotional sale item, it can be sold for market value?

sorry to hijack this sale, its not my intention to break any forum rules if i have done so, but im also looking for an amazon set and was wondering about its general pricing and whats acceptable practice in regards to this..

cheers , marty.

If I could search that ban thread, but the new forum isn't cooperating. You can PM a mod and he/she can tell you for sure. I am looking for the silver/blue box variant, which were the $99 dealio at Amazon.

that deal was back in December and only ran for a few days, if that.  No one knows right now when Amazon will have them back on sale at that price, if ever.

you could try ebay, but your best bet would be here in the forums, since prices on ebay have gone up.

edit:  I apologize Mods for getting OT, but I too am interested in finding a pair around that price range as well.

I heard very bad reviews over the lot of Triple-Fis sold for $99 in the Amazon event. Just to warn you guys.

What was wrong with them?  I have mine and have had zero issues - save a cable which Logitech replaced for free . . .

I was in on that $99 Amazon deal and the first pair they shipped me had the left earbud's sound slowly deteriote. I never heard an earbud do that before. I thought it was the cable at first and don't have an extra pair of cable to check. The right earbud was fine with a consistent sound coming out but the left earbud's sound slowly faded to oblivion. Amazon shipped me a 2nd pair while they paid return shipping for the defective pair. The 2nd pair had no problems at all and still working fine for me now. So even if you have bought a defective pair, they would pay for the return shipping and you will eventually get a non-defective pair. How long it lasts who knows? I heard from various forums that the cable is usually the culprit for the UE triple fi. 10 not sounding right because the stock cable is really thin and seems fragile. As Shike said, Logitech also replaces your defective cable too for free and they pay the shipping for you to send them your defective cable.

Just wanted to mention, if it literally "faded" away, then I would not look towards the cable as the primary culprit - more likely the driver itself was the problem. If it was intermittent, then the cable would be a reasonable suspect.
