Alright so my brother broke a pair of skull candy titan headphones, not knowing the warranty plans he threw them away, i then took them and sent them in for a full refund in store credit. The refunded my 47$ so i am going to buy something with it. So currently what're the best skull candy buds i could buy for around that much, i could go more but i figure why bother with SK?

Thanks for the impute

Get new pair -> sell online -> buy something worthy of your ears. I suggest something like the Visang R03, or whatever budget IEM Joker is currently championing. They shouldn't run you more than $47.

The you'll be stuck with whatever garbage skullcandy deems to be worth $47. From what I've tried i'd say Titans > FMJ >= Ink'd  >> Smokin'. Now, that's a skullcandy-specific scale because I'd personally rank the $18 Meelec M9 far above all of them, but that doesn't sound like an option to you.

Ive read several professional reviews that the Titans sound really, really good.  So I dont know where some of the hate is coming from.  I know the lower line Skullcandys may sound bad, but has anyone actually heard the Titans?

I would buy the Titans from best buy.............listen to them, if you dont like them, return them.  BB has a good return policy on IEMs.  I bought UE superfi.4s and returned the a few days later and go my cash back.  Didnt care for the sound.

Do you really think that I'm just guessing? I reviewed the Titans nearly 9 months ago here. They aren't horrid but they aren't great at all by head-fi standards. They compete at the $15-20 level but no higher. Comply tips bring them to around CX300/EP630 level, which aren't too popular around here anyway for the bloated bass and rolled-off treble.
