This is a fully upgraded sacddvd audio/ cd /mp3 player. This Pioneer model has the right core components not found in most subsequent models - a true Philips DSD chip- no PCM conversion and a CD based transport. It is optimized for 2 channel playback but can also do full 5.1 in any format eg. SACD,DTS,DVD-A etc. Unlike Sony models it does DVD-Audio as well.
There is a lot of info. online on this model along with various tweaks.I have included pictures that show the range of actual mods that were done including Sanyo OsCons, Sprauge caps , Vampire wire and jacks, Dynamat damping and a new IEC power input to allow use of your own power cords. There is much more that I can't remember the specifics of including resistors and diodes.I have only listed what I know for sure as I have misplaced the parts manifest. The main L/R op amps were changed to Analog Devices 8610-not visible as this is on the underside of the board. Overall sound is warm, quick and analog like to my ear. Very quick loading and responsive transport. Sounds great on my HD600's.
Priced less than other modified 563's as this doesn't have the "pedigree". The parts alone come close to my asking price.
