---

Through a myriad of sources, Engadget has posted the following news clip:

Bloomberg noticed the ending date of the 'Buy a Mac get a free iPod Touch' promotion is a Tuesday (when Apple makes their announcements), September 7 2010. There is no new info on the items themselves yet, but with only a couple weeks to go the wait won't be long.

I'm really looking forward to the new iPod Touch in the $300-400 range. I'm hoping that gets me to 64GB but will make do with 32GB if necessary.

Anyone else been waiting on this refresh?

Not really looking forwards to the show, but it is always interesting to see what is on the market.  Waiting more for IFA this year.

Looking forward to see if the 4th gen iPod Touch will be worth the upgrade from my 2nd gen Touch.

The processing power alone should be worth it. The 2G Touch I've used was pretty sluggish compared to the Zune HD I tried.

Eh, I'm perfectly happy with my 2nd generation iPod Touch. I'll only buy a replacement if it explodes or I lose it.

I'm hoping for a refresh of the Classic.  A bigger drive would be perfect since I already have an iPhone.

The iTV looks interesting, as well.  If I get another TV, I might have to pick up the iTV.  Being able to scroll through photo albums would be worth $99 alone.

Lots of rumor of the cancel of the classic though. Also isn't a 240GB drive the largest you can get in a small enough form factor already? It does cost more, to upgrade the drive on your own (to the 240), but it's still possible.

many media players on the market allready do that, the interesting part is if they pull off that 99 cent TV show rental thing, if not its just going to be another apple TV.

As for ipods, i think they are going to start phasing them out, the classic is going to go, they are probobly going to center on the shuffle and the touch.

Anyone know if user adjustable EQ is a feature of the new models?

That would shock the world, if they were to add a user-customizable EQ. I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for it, but I guess you never know.
