I suppose it´s hard to find two fully matching tubes... I have four and the best I can achieve is 1,5 db max difference using pink noise at around 75 db peaks. Acceptable tolerances?
I suspect they will not wear down exactly the same either. Can you expect big changes in db levels as you use them? Is it sufficient to measure by SPL metre or what do you use to measure your tubes?
