Purple earphones for 11 year old.

Well my daughter is turning 11 in Jan and I have decided it is time to get her an ipod nano in purple. I am a stickler about good sound and want some phones that are purple that dont sound too bad. I know they in no way can compare to my customs in sound but I want it to sound better than the buds that come with the nano.

not sure about a 11-old kid wearing them...but the audio technica ad700 ar purple shaded...and they are quite a bung for the buck in terms of sound quality )))

... and they are big enough to swallow her whole head, just about !!  I agree with you about the great SQ of the AD700, but doubt an 11-yr old girl would be caught dead with full-size phones like that!

 

Another option is the Meelec M9 in silver ($20 at Amazon.com right now, a near steal).  Add purple fingernail polish, let em' dry and she's good to go!

On the low-budget side there's also the Coby CVEM79 and Yamaha EPH-20. The EPH-20 is particularly handsome IMO and very small/light.
