sounds good, but difference isn't huge over the WA2. i prefer WA2 for the bass, the WA22 is more holographic and has better mids, soundstage is huge, bigger than WA6-SE even.

not as silky euphonic sweet beautiful and as good tonally as WA2, the mids are more lush on WA22 though.

Agree. T90 is good, but more variable than T1 due to extra treble energy. For me it can easily get harsh / not enjoyable (eg 30% of tracks) whereas T1 only misses occasionally (eg 10% of tracks). I'm referring to recording quality, genre, etc. everything that influences synergy between HPs and musical enjoyment.

I think I was told it was around 2000 when I was looking at buying my T1s. I could be mistaken, but it was fairly early on.

I'm not sure, but both of the T1s I purchased a year ago (1 new, 1 used) each had the 'new' headband. I assume only the first few batches had the worse headband-not that I ever owned one....

Good to know, thanks.
What about the drivers, did they change over time? For example, are there any differences say from a 10,000 serial number production versus a 14,000 or current production?

I've never heard any rumblings about driver changes personally...

I asked Beyer that directly and they said they have never had different drivers in the T1s.
