It don't look like it. The beyer T1 headband is plenty comfortable enough though.

No, at least the T1 doesn't use the same headband mechanism with the DT line, which is secured by buttons and easily removable. I wouldn't want any change to the T1 headband either as it's the most comfortable out of all the cans I've ever lived with for any period of time.

After spending a couple days with my new Meier gear, the T1s may overtake my Grado PS500s as my favorite phones...this is really remarkable. I really am surprised that there aren't more Meier posts and threads here. I know Jan markets via word of mouth only, but his products are incredible value. The synergy with the T1s and the Meier stack (Corda Classic and Daccord) is phenomenal. I've been auditioning this system for the past two days and my friends are blown away by it, as am I. I'm not saying there isn't better gear out there, but at this price point Jan's gear is a steal. The T1s LOVE his crossfeed circuit.

After reading comments in this thread, I am considering getting the Woo Audio WA2 for the T1 headphones I have.

I originally had them connected to the SPL Phonitor, but still doesn't feel like I am getting the full potential of the T1s.

Also, I agree that the T1s are the most comfortable headphones.

I have been trying to popularize this combo, but there is a cult of WA2 around here, so I hd no chance. I have a CClassic and the combo sounds remarkable. It does not take away the transparency as much as WA2 as well.

I'll help you in that endeavor, cause I'm not typically a solid state guy at ALL, but I'm absolutely in love with the sound I'm getting now. Jan Meier's crossfeed circuit is pure genius. On paper, I had absolutely no interest in this sort of option, cause I am a bit of a purist. I never use tone controls, DSPs, enhancements, equalization, etc with speakers or headphones. The crossfeed circuit is now my one and only exception. The T1s are taking to this Meier gear like a noob to Dre Beats lol. The T1s are placing instruments and vocals in space perfectly, the sound stage is larger and fuller, and the low end has clearly been taken up a notch. I don't even have plans to hook my tube buffer back into the signal path anytime soon, which is saying a lot given how much I enjoy tubed gear. I still can't quite figure out the breakdown on whether the DAC or the amp is the bigger upgrade from what I had (I suspect it's the DAC, so far), but this combo comes with tremendous customer satisfaction.

If I would have known this was what was waiting for me, I would have pulled the trigger on this combo a long time ago. I've been very happy with the T1/Corda Jazz pairing, but Jan's DAC and amp really have impressed me with what they're doing with my T1s. If I knew someone looking to jump into a headphone rig at the $2k price point, the T1 + Classic + Daccord package from Jan is an absolute no-brainer. I honestly was afraid that once I took delivery, I'd find that there wasn't a whole lot of difference in the sound...but thankfully I was wrong. It's been worth every penny.

WA2 will not perform "better" but will had some tube flavor , like a bit more bottom , tamed highs , and more bodied mids . Warmer sound overall (also depend and wich tube used etc)

I can only echo what you've been saying about Meier + T1, Focker. I believe that purely from a technical standpoint, his amps are far superior to any tube amp in every possible way. That said, I'd still like to hear this "magic" that tubes supposedly give the T1, just to hear what all rave is about :-)

I can vouch for this. Absolutely love classic + T1.  Especially at a discounted spring sale price. :) I dont have a daccord though. Compared with Schiit Lyr even with Siemens E88CCs rolled into it, classic provides better performance overall. What strikes me most is improved transparency and clarity with classic. Too bad though, classic just cannot work well with HE500 and denons. With HE500, it lacks the control and power of Lyr over HE500. For denons, even in low gain, volume adjustment is too restricted.

Great impressions!

I am not using a Daccord, but my Metro Octave is absolutely awesome and I do not plan on upgrading it anytime soon.

+1
agree. the wa2 will not be better in terms of detail, transparency, soundstage, etc. but will have a lusher smoother warmer and fuller sound. sound quality depends on tubes. the better tubes will open up the sound more and increase layering and soundstage, while maintaining that tube sound. so if thats what youre looking for, get wa2 wink.gif

my t1 will arrive wednesday but god i hate the waiting! i wonder how much low end i will loose changing from hd650 to t1 with the wa2 or will i loose any?

None.  The only thing the 650s might win over the T1 is upper mids.  Then that will come down to preference as well.
