Can you please tell me the amplifier you normally use with your T1? I saw your comment below regarding the Woo and I saw that you own the Bottlehead Crack/Speedball and I was thinking on building one but might reconsider. Thanks

I just finished the Crack build so it hasn't gotten much use. I basically got it finished before the meet last weekend and did most testing with the W1000x (which really sounded amazing). Up to this point, the T1 has been exclusively used with my Valhalla, but I intend to get some time in with the Crack this weekend. I'll post my impressions soon.

I'm I little bit surprise because the W1000x are pretty low impedance for the Crack rate for 200 and up. No offence to the Valhalla ( I never heard one) but based on what I have read I would think the Crack with the speedball would be much better. Please report when you have tried it.

Pure Music.  I haven't tried comparing to other players.

Yo guys,

 

I've been using the T1 exclusively with the Violectric V200 and I have to say it drives it really well. The added bass, midrange, and smoother highs of the amp work well with the T1.

Forgive me if this isn't posted in the right thread...

 

T1 question:  anyone know a good place to buy/order one from in the US,  as in lowest prices / discount / whatever.  Was thinking of trying one out and thought you all might have some insight into the best deals for them.

I have seen them for around 1K on Amazon, but you will have to wait and see if that price comes up again. Otherwise you should order from one of the board sponsors. They are all good companies and if you call them they will likely give you a discount.

I does some things better than the Auditor, mainly the intimacy. Also the V200 really seems to make certain genre's sound better, such as badly produced metal. It's smooth by nature and as such it can smooth over music that has a "glare" to it.

 

I still prefer my Auditor though. Neutrality rules!

How noticeable is the V200's constricted soundstage and loss of separation on the T1s?  I did appreciate the organic tone but couldn't bear with its flaws.

Really I think using 'constricted" is a exaggeration. Sure it's smaller, but it doesn't sound like a Grado's soundstage. It's still quite open and accurate, just smaller.

 

Speaking of flaws, what flaws are you speaking of? The only thing I can complain about is how some IEM's do not function properly on it.
