Of course re-adaptation is much faster. You already acquired a memory of how a headphone sound like. Just like any skill you learned and stopped doing it for a long time. You'll get rusty, but it will come back to you sooner than learning it the first time.

Probably because as less stocked item are available dealer to not do anymore mass discounts on stock :)  If you w ant to get one almost new you can get a demo item on an exhibition with a good discount (<700$).

My um3x sounds like crap after listening exclusivity to my t1s for the last few week. Everything is so muddly and small in comparison. I now feel very sad for my um3x as they were my favourite iem/headphone for the past 3 years. The thrill of looking forwards to listening to my um3x for my commute to work has now been spoilt by the t1s :(

My T1 companion IEM is a Fostex TE-05. They don't perform the same but it has a similar sound signature. Neutral to slightly lean, has nice bass and sub bass punch that doesn't bleed into the mids and top end sparkle. Can get a little bright/sibilant depending on the tip being used. I use complys and they roll off the highs just enough. One of my faves w/o breaking the bank

I've got two T1s at the moment (one is about to be shipped off to a new owner). Serial #s 9xxx and 18xxx. The 9xxx seems to be a bit more lush in the mids but maybe a little bit slower. It also feels physically heavier. The 18xxx seems like it's a little faster and more detailed at the expense of introducing a tiny bit of grainy-ness into the mids and treble.

The 18xxx cable is also quite a bit more flexible and easily managed.

Anybody else have any experiences like this?

I've had two sets as well. First set was in the 5XXXs and yeah, it was noticably heavier than my current pair. 16XXX. I didn't notice any difference soundwise tho.
