this is the conundrum, which one do i value higher the sound or the comfort when they are my second string phones behind my LCD-X anyway?  The only advantage the T1 could provide over the X is weight.  Given the OEM pads they don't feel as comfortable on my ears.  Assuming the mod they 'might' have as good of sound but that is still to be determined but they wouldn't have the comfort.  Again the weight is the only thing that redeems the T1 right now.

Whats the source of these pictures. To me they look a bit like the outcome of Photoshop, taking a T1 and a T90 Jubilee as input... Beyer Germany seems to not know about these pictures...

So the difference is the color and the cable (anniversary and normal)?

Curious to know the price on this special edition (only curious not buying as I have my T1's). I can imagine after the recent price pressure on the street price of the stock T1 that these might be way up there in price.

I'm actually looking to buy a pair of T1 drivers.

I live in the US, not available here. It's pretty much only available in Germany and a few other European countries (Belarus, Denmark, Estonia, etc.). I know those sites too, forgot to mention that earlier.

I brought one of the 600 units, comparing to original T1 the Cardas Clear Light added a degree of extra body to the overall sound, it is still a T1 but more enticing and will update after more burning in. So far it is not a day and night difference but a sweeter output, the price difference is less than the cost of upgrading to the Cardas cable and the balance connector.

Thanks for the update. So you have both the original and the special? Does it come with a cable to connect to 3.5mm?
