The Official Beyerdynamic T1 Impressions and Discussion Thread - Page 543

wouldn't be awesome if there was an artisan on HeadFi who made custom ear pads for the dozen or so popular headsets that maximized the sound and comfort at a reasonable rate?  Providing both a leather and suede type option which aims to compensate out the most voiced sound issues for each phone.  Perhaps even being able to further customize for each individual to emphasize certain things similar to how artisans are making headphone cables.

Seems a roll of quality leather and suede and a few blocks of memory foam (and a sewing machine) is all that is needed and some of these earpads are costing up to $80 should be a good chunk of profit in there once you have the patterns figured out.

And provide measurements on how each headphone performs with specific pads. I'd love to see that idea come to life!
