I had my HD 800s when I bought the T1s I was never happy with the Sennheisers and sold them after I got my T1s. they just sound great with everything you throw at them.I think for 1500 dollars the Sennheiser should be made from metal, and sounded better then they did. ..I don't think people should have to hunt around for just the right amp to make them sound good

I couldn't agree more, this applies to all headphones, that's why I dislike orthos.

I think its always fun to see how everyone hears different things...and how they compare other phones with the T1's.

We're always looking for that moment when everything is just right.  Problem is with me, that never seems to happen.

I might think I have it one day...and then somebody must come in and mess with my stuff when I'm not around !!!  That

is pure evil of the highest order !!!  I will catch that person(s) eventually and punishment will be harsh.

I would disagree. I think that the T1 is on the same level as the HD800, or at least near to it as the HD800 is a tad more expensive retail. Its just different sound signatures. Both have their strengths and weeknesses. It really depends on what the end user is looking for. A more rounded HP, full and punchy, with great clarity and quality with all music types(T1). Or a headphone more focused on mids and treble execution, (with some good sub-bass) that sounds amazing, but with only certain genres of music(HD800). There are many music genres that sound like crud on my HD800, there are none that i have found yet on the T1.

Well said.

I think I might sell my X-Sabre DAC I just got... Its a little too warm for me personally. With a really bright SS amp like my DIY Ventus EZ it is fantastic but that amp has some noise issues and I've had enough fiddling with it lol. With my Burson its warm and with my Crack, its wayyyyy too warm. I think I might try a W4S or Benchmarc maybe.

Hadn't posted in a while so I figured I'd say something

That'll be a good deal for someone then - the X-Sabre is an outstanding DAC.

I personally don't find it too warm, but it all depends on personal taste and the amps you use. It's a great match with the Mainline and also with the Matrix Quattro amp (both with T1s as well)
