A thread created in 2013 , that has more page than this one created in 2010 despite T1 being an awesome headphone as HD800 is ,  but  again matter of tastes .

^^ Agree, the headphones that they need more attention are the T1, especially since last year.

honestly, i don´t understand your post.

i did not say that the T1 is worse than the hd-800. i say that the hd-800 and the T1 are two complementary headphones.

namely that both can coexist together

in my opinion, i think that the hd-800 needs more attention with the system.

The T1 is more universal compared to the HD-800.

Only this.

About the threads, honestly i don´t care.

i speak about the stuffs that i had in my home

Combine that with different personal tastes and it's a recipe for all the debate we hear around these top end cans.

how apt...yes CHEF :P

 well sometimes you know we didn't read every lines in a post , and i was not sure if you were talking about popularity of HD800/T1 or that the HD800 needs to be more carefull about amplification .  Now after reading twice it's quite clear ...

And i never said  HD800> T1  or that you implied it .

I use T1 with A1, which is a combo recommended by beyerdynamic itself. But I have to go as far as 3 quarters of the volume knob to get a decent volume. Is this normal? Am I missing anything? Many thanks.

BTW, there's no gain switch or whatsoever on the A1 unit.

My dear friend you have and had in your possession most headphones than anybody I know, the best of the best.

To your ears and system how does the T1 sound?

the leather on the headband of my T1 has come away from the binding - does anyone know if this is covered in the guarantee. Its only 7 months old.

Can it be repaired?

I tried the T1 with the A1 and that would have been WAY too loud for me.

i need to listen more when my amplifier retourns.

but i think that is an universal headphone, fairly neutral.

i would like a little more impact in the low frequencies.

but this last T1 impressed me more compared to my first.

my has a moonaudio black dragon

Thanks, perhapss. I tied hd700 on A1, it's loud enough. I'm starting to get concerned. My T1 on A1 is anything but loud.

Seems odd to me.

I've heard complaints about the A1 but not loud enough is not a typical complaint.

Tried T1 with Fiio E9, loud enough; tried HD 700 with A1, loud enough. Now T1 with A1? Barely audible halfway through the volume knob. Already contacted Beyer USA.

Thank you again, Perhapss.

Is your source outputting at least 2 Volts? Most smartphones and some portable DACs output around 1V - 1.5V which requires more volume on the amp.
