Also, what is the going rate on the used market for the T1?

I had the Yulong D100 MKII...but it was before I had my T1.  I had a Denon D5000 at the time and it was solid with the Denon...but the Denon is a highly sensitive 25 ohm headphone.  I did preview an LCD2, an HD800 and a HE500 with it.  In my opinion the Yulong struggled with all of those.  It had enough beef to get sufficient volume but couldn't bring out the potential and nuance of any of these headphones.  I think it would make a great DAC to pair with the T1 but from an amp standpoint I  think you're barely getting there.

Best deal on T1's is at the link here.  Why go used when you can get it brand new with an additional year added to the normal 2 year Beyerdynamic warranty.  I got mine here and it has performed flawlessly and the people were great to deal with.

oh so jealous...

another month to go and a trip to see Frank I in Jersey at the Woo showroom/demo before i get mine.  not sure i'm getting the T-1 but from the information i've gathered it seams like the right headphone for me. Frank asked my take on music and after giving him some of my preferences on music and what strengths of a headphone i enjoy most he suggested i'd probably like the T-1.   Only the demo will tell

Frank is a great guy, I enjoyed talking with him at the meet, and I also think you will enjoy the T1 on a nice tube amp

Real reason for posting, I think I'm going to sell my HD800, I finished my Crack, and even on OTL the HD800 is just a little boring for my tastes, but we shall see in the coming weeks .

i have a few GEC 6AS7G for sale right now on ebay...

i personally prefer the 5998 for the T1 though. the GEC seems to sound alot better with the HD 800.

How interesting. Not to mention the famous GEC 6AS7G Brown base, I actually prefer the 5998 to any other 6as7 tubes. Perhaps your Darkvoice has different sound from my Crack :D

I am considering selling my T1s.

They are in very good condition and I am the original owner.

PM if interested...

An discounted T1 goes for 800 on amazon already. So, I do not think sell it now is a good idea~~~~ I'd rather keep it than sell it with dirt price~~~

That's where I am with the HD800 right now. It's smooth and detailed on my Raptor but it's a little too smooth maybe. Kind of lifeless. It doesn't draw me in like the T1 does. The T1 might be a little rough around the edges in comparison but it has a life and energy to it that draws me into the music more.

I realize my system may have ideal synergy with the T1 because my amp and dac bring out the better aspects of it and perhaps tame other aspects a little bit as well.

I still like the HD800. I think it does some things better. I'll keep it for now because I have a GS-X mk2 coming and I'll see how it does with that amp.

I've been going back and forth on selling for some time and almost sold it a few months back.

It's a wonderful headphone but the treble extension aggravates my tinnitus.

I hate to sell it at such a loss too.

It wasn't cheap and I enjoy having it around:smile:.

Well, I have T1 and I agree with your opinion with too harsh on some recordings.

But, you still in at a better place than me cause I also have an ED8.......

It is HOT, and the price on amazon just drop to $700 too...............

I am not sure why I brought that phone, but I did...........Now, I wish I saved the money which I can easily get a HD650+K702~~~~~~

The sad part, if I sell it, I lose everything.............

pretty sure my he-400 gave me tinnitus in my right ear.  what concerns me is that i've listened to headphones for many years and never had any problems.  I got my wisdom teeth pulled on my right side and ever since my right ear has been most picky about volume and treble.  I think the 400 brought out the worst of it.
