Congats vlach! Hope we haven't led you down the garden path ... tongue.gif

Just kidding. I think you'll be pleased. The only issue you might have with them is that some new owners experience a kind of background noise - barely perceptible but constant and nagging, even after taking the headphones off. It's reported to sound something like:

"OTL tubessssssssss"

Loquah: Just noticed your avatar. I've always been a fan of the American Big Brother show, but I've been watching the Aussie version this season and it has become my favorite cast of any reality show, ever. One of the big reasons for that is your boy Tim. If American producers were smart, they'd sign this guy up for a run in the American house.

Tim is the "Beyer T1" of Big Brother players haha

Jesterphile: I think I saw you had your Meier gear up for sale, but if you can keep it around long enough to audition in with the T1s, you might really be surprised. The T1s thrive with the crossfeed circuit engaged, and this is probably the first time - in headamps or regular speaker amps - that I can truly say that I've fallen in love with solid state gear. I'm usually more of a tube guy, but I find the Meier/T1 pairing extremely good, especially for the money.

Yeah - I work a lot as a trainer and coach with group dynamics and behaviour so I'm loving this year's BB Aus and mostly because of Tim. I snapped the shot in my avatar when I hit pause one night only to return and see that priceless expression on his face.

I have to agree about Tim being the T1 equivalent in the house - he could very easily be very annoying, but in the right situations and with a relaxed appreciation for what he offers he can easily be the most entertaining and enjoyable!

lol, absolutely...every morning around this time I look forward to connecting my laptop to the USB, firing up BBAUS, and listening via the T1s...brings the house alive!

Yep I've decided to keep the Meier gear to drive the T1s. I also decided I can't do without crossfeed.

I think I've posted this before, but I am very anti-enhancements generally. I don't use EQ, I don't like tone controls, and I never use any of the DSP options on processors. So for me to be this much in love with the crossfeed circuit, that's really very unexpected. And of all my phones, the ones it works the best with are the T1s. If I were Jan, I'd develop a crossfeed buffer, of sorts, and market it as a stand alone product. It would sell like hotcakes!

Hi

I use T1 with Hifi-M8. Does anyone use the same pair? If yes do you hear any difference with 3 different output impedance level of the M8.

I don't hear anything different sonically and I'm not sure which impedance setting is best for T1.

The differences of output impedance are so low that at 600ohms, there will likely not be a significant effect for the T1s. You may find a very slight change from the lowest to highest outputs, but I wouldn't expect to hear much if anything.

The outputs are 1, 2 & 11 ohm which would have significant impact on headphones up to about 100ohm. After that it'll become insignificant.

I'm pretty impressed with the build quality and the nice box. I hope the sound matches.
