Bass might be slightly emphasized; but no "boominess". It's really a pleasant sounding combination that simply disappears into the music. I'm connected via USB, the drivers (and cheap cable) just work.

i ended up with a mytek 192 over the nad m51, but this was the second option i was thinking about. i bet it must be really good!!

Not the bottom end on mine, but the top end never seemed as harsh on my old pair. Hopefully beyer's consistency has improved between headphones.

Mine did too...but that bass now looks a bit more than what I'd want actually.

I do...that's the TH-900's magic...their fun sound. For the T1s, its their more neutral presentation and this new graphs seems to take them further away from that.

How are you reading that graph.  The red is the 2013 which looks more neutral.  I thought..

it looks fuller and bassier, more neutral as in linear, but looks like the entire bass region is boosted.

hmmm, it seems interesting. maybe if some1 buys a new 2013 beyer and can confirm the new changes, i would get one. though i already love how my T1 sounds.
