The number is 5941 so the theory suggested they want to get a review for changes that were made cant be true.   This is their demo unit they use for shows and I guess for reviews also. It sounds like the other two pairs I owned from memory at least.

mines right around there, its 5680 (well originally it was 5329 or something like that but i got mine repaired for the headband assembly, so im guessing they just replaced that and reserialized mine.

Your serial no is 11XXX? I bought mine 1 month ago and its serial no is 6XXX. No wonder I got a mismatched driver.

my t1 is on the way apparently it is plus 10,000. the store said that they contacted beyer and that it was assembled in 2013

i got the t1's for £599 this morning, the company has since up'd the price to £799. that is one hell of an increase.

Jus put on the T1 on the DV336se..with ABBA on cue,

the organic CLARITY of this can/tube just hits me each time,

and puts a smile on my face.

 I got mine about 2 months ago and SN is 82XX. I guess I also got spanked by the store a bit. Fortunately its the greatest of the bunch I have right now. I wait unit I get HD800 soon and compare them. :)
