Thankfully yes. I'll just have to do without them for a while. Ah well, not the end of the world. I guess now I can get re-acquainted with my other gear. The T1 has been almost my exclusive can for a while now.

Does anyone have experience using a Burson amp and the T1? I've seen the new Soloist SL going for a good price and would be interested for impressions.

Thanks.

I use the T1 with my Burson HA-160D (which has significantly less power than the Soloist) and enjoy the sound.  This seams to be the opposite of what many here think though.  Generally the response I've read here is the 160D and the T1 are not a good pairing.  Cannot speak to the Soloist.

the T1's sound wonderful with the Soloist...not sure about the smaller version though....

Can the T1 be set up to run balanced? My amp is a Mjolnir and only outputs balanced.

Same experience here. Received a pair of T1 two days ago and have used them with Soloist (DAC is NAD M51).

Yes, just re-cable it to balanced, the T1 is a very balanced-friendly pair of cans.

Very easily. You don't even need to recable them. Just change the end from a 1/4" TRS to a 4 pin XLR, and BAM!

How do I do that?

unscrew the metal thingy on the  1/4 end, unsolder the connector, and solder in the new thingy to the wires.
