The pairing is important too enjoy the music like u want it , but what amp/source do you use with the T1 And the Hd 800?

Woo WA2 (or WA3 people tell me) are good with T1

Naim Headline works very well with T1

Grace m902 got too bright for both of them (but I don't like bright :)

I can't recommend any amp with HD800, since I never liked it as a complete headphone (though I got very impressed by detail and soundstageing, but the T1 does them same but with more soul :-) IMHO

I'm joining in: Woo Wa2 and Naim Healdine are nice with the T1 :-) I listen to mostly to chamber music, indie, experimental jazz, vocal jazz, electronic music, contemporary classical....

As the T1 was compared to the Hd 800 earlier, I'll make this comparison with the LCD-2

I am not going to comment on sound, as I do love the sound from my LCD-2 as I also love the sound from the T1. But I have yet to sit down and compare one to the other.

I do have to say, however,  the T1 is much more comfortable than the LCD-2. I wear glasses and find it uncomfortable to move my head when listening to the LCD-2. I have no such problems with the T1, they are also lighter than the LCD'S.

In reference to the amp question above, I think the T1's sound great with the Schiit Lyr, as do the LCD's.

T1's have a better soundstage than the LCD-2.

In most of the cases I am using the StageDac/Concerto with the T1 and the DLIII/Sonett with the HD800. The second combo is connected by the HiFace and SPDIF whereas the first one goes with either the Thingee/SPDIF or Toslink. Source is in both cases my PC and FLAC..

I think Matrix M-stage is a nice combo with the Hd 800, but have anybody done any mods too the T1 yet? Like recabling and other stuff similar or like this maybe?

I know it is a noobish question but i just have too ask soo i can maybe push the limits of a allready great piece of art.

I feel the Beta 22 works extremely well with T1 and with HD800.

i've seen picture of the t1 driver but it does seem a bit different than the usual/original headphone driver.  as for recabling, here won't let you talk about cable

I just had mine re-terminated w/a single 4 pin XLR for my WA22.  Getting the WyredrSound DAC2 tomorrow as well so I'll report back.

I'm looking forward to your thoughts on this. I already had my T1s recabled, and am looking at the WA22 as my balanced amp. I've almost completed a Beta 22, however, it is single-ended. I'll probably build a balanced one next winter.

Recently took possession of T1s, Woo WA2 and PS Audio Digital Link iii. Wow! Still burning in the T1s and WA2 but they sound fabulous now.

Last night I listened to the Genesis Live At The Rainbow '73 show from the 1973-2007 Boxset and it was stunning. I'm still in awe of the tube sound in conjunction with the T1 and this was like being dead centre in a great theatre with quality acoustics complimenting a great sound system. Tony Banks incredible keyboards, Steve Hackett's beautiful guitar work, Mike Rutherford's steady and deep bass guitar and bass pedals, Phil Collins' trademark drumming and of course the unique vocals of Peter Gabriel. I'm a big Genesis fan but have never heard any incarnation of the band sound like this. A big, full, warm  sound with great detail  and terrific dynamics. Can't wait for tonight's listening!

T1s and WA2 = winning combination for this music enjoyer.

Incidentally, the T1s can be bought for $1050 at Planet Of Sound in Toronto. Very nice store and good guys.

Glad you're enjoying your WA2/T1 pairing....great synergistic pairing IMO.

And Planet of Sound is also great to deal with...they are the Canadian dealer. I was lucky enough to be the first one in Canada to listen to these amazing cans.
