Someone else mentioned Meier, so I'll second that...the Corda Jazz pairs really well with the T1s. (On top of that, Jan will package a deal if you buy both...saved me a lot of money)

I'm planning to upgrade my cans and my two choices are the T1 or Audez'e LCD-2 Rev. 2

Source is mainly vinyl playback and I listen to rock, pop and electronica.

I generally like detailed highs and solid, tight bass which isn't boomy.

You will enjoy the sound of both headphones out of the Burson.  You may like one over the other.  However, IMO both are good.

I'm not sure how helpful this will be, since I don't have any real comparisons to make between the 160D and other amps, but I have the Burson 160D as well as the T1 / LCD2 and enjoy the sound.  The LCD2 is fun for rock and heavier music but I prefer the T1 for strings and vocals.

From everything I've read people seem to prefer the T1 with tubes, I frequently see the WA2 or WA6 recommended as good pairings.

There have been mixed responses regarding the Burson HA-160 and T1 pairing and have read that

most people prefer the T1 paired with tube amplification.  Decisions, decisions confused_face.gif

Thanks guys for your comments beerchug.gif

You have to try by yourself , i understand why many people like tubes , i only tryed some entre levely ones for tubes and it was very nice to listen , but i think that i prefer SS amps , or a tube that would sound like my auditor biggrin.gif

I've spent the entire evening wee hours of the morning with my T1s and Mjolnir. I think this is an excellent pairing.

So I am in bed listening to my T1s during a lazy Saturday afternoon...I have my 16 week old puppy next to me in the bed dozing off, so I decide to allow myself to do the same. Well, I just woke and took the headphones off my head. They seemed to come off my head a bit easier, without the cables closest to the earcups touching my head, which seemed odd. I turned on the light and took a closer look, and sure enough this little BASTARD chewed clean through one side of the cable. Actually he's not a bastard...he's my little buddy and I love him...and I do forgive him...but I'm not happy about being w/out my T1s.

It may be that Drew from Moon Audio and my puppy are working together, I'm not sure...but was thinking that since this won't be covered under warranty that maybe a re-cabling with some Dragon wire was in order. Was hoping some of you guys could chime in with re-cabling suggestions and what you've found works best. I'm not a big believer that cables make much difference, but I'm open to using this opportunity to take a chance.

Hi,

That really sucks man. Why not have someone repair it?

Hadn't considered that...seemed like a re-cabling would be the way to go, but open to suggestions.

I had mine re-cabled by Robert at AphroditeCu29 using Zeus cable. I can't say enough good things about his work.

What did that set you back, if you don't mind me asking? (If you don't want to post it, feel free to PM instead)

Sorry about your T1. I would be very mad to come home one day with my T1 chewed up.
