Has anyone heard the RWA Corvina with the T1?  Seems like it would be a good pairing.

I know the WA2 seems to get a lot of mentions in this price range, but I need something a little more subtle from a looks perspective.  Any other thoughts for an amp in the <$1,000 range?  Looking for warm and rich rather than bright/analytical. Thanks.

used WA2 is right up your alley i think. new is 1090, another option is supposed to be the v200.

either way, you can't get much better that that for the t1 in the 1000 dollar price range.

I believed the V200 was mentioned to be a good fit with the T1. I like my Meier Concerto but might not be warm enough for you. biggrin.gif

I also like the Musical Fidelity headphone amp, it was quite warm and looks great too!

My Bellari HA540 ($249) did splendidly with the T1, paired with a TungSol 12AX7. It might not be expensive enough for some, though...

Yo,

The V200 was an excellent fit with the T1, more so with the T70. With the T70 the highs smooth out more and the mids are up front and full. Also the bass fills in even more. I think it's a wonderful combo.

With the T1 it makes their already warm sound become much more inviting and relaxed. Acoustic music sounds great on this combo.

what amps that youve tried with the T1 would you say is better, in your opinion, than the v200?

Hi,

I've only heard them on my amp but of the amps I own I would say the T1 sound best on the Auditor. The Auditor is more powerful and is also more resolving and detailed. It has a larger soundstage as well as improved dynamics.

Based on the pictures I have seen of the rear panel of the V200, it looks like it is possible to set the gain at different settings for each of the headphone jacks. So you could use one for IEMs (for example) and the other for the T1 without having to constantly fiddle with the gain.  Is that true?  Thx.

Just noticed that this will be my 100th post.  I am going to self-indulgently use it to make this comment:

I never would have guessed that my 100th post since joining Head-Fi would be in this thread!!!!

Hi,

The gain settings are for both channels. You can adjust either 1/4" at all. I sue my amp at -6db and it still gets plenty loud with my T1 right at 12 o'clock.

I've tried that one myself. I liked it very much! A bit on the pricier side, but upgrades tend to becool.gif
