Superb phones, still getting equal headtime with the LCD-2's and more than the HE-6's at the moment.

I don't find them bright either out of Woo6se or Roc

T1 is really good indeed.  Maybe it outperforms HE-6  but it can't touch HE60! normal_smile%20.gif

Electrostatic headphones has their limits, so Senns and Beyers finally got their flagship headphone dynamics

The HE60, while a great headphone, is very over hyped IMO. I think most Stax, such as the Omega's, surpass it by quite a bit. I would only be willing to drop about $1,500 on a HE60 with and amp included but that's my opinion.

Very true. The only advantage of the HE60 over dynamic headphones is complete lack of aggression and grittiness in the sound but otherwise they are nothing special and people who connected them to the HEV90 against the HE90 would confirm it as well. No baby of Orpheus actually. Perceiving it otherwise might only mean how bad the amplifier for the dynamic headphones or the source for both was.

anybody amping it with a balancing-act?

Last week I got my t1's :D they sound amazing :D

but what's up with all those fake pictures on the internet where the inside is "white/transparent" instead of black ?

New guy at the thread.  I've had mine for three months now.  I have a Woo WA22 balanced and have been running the T-1's with the 1/4" but want to switch to twin XLR's.  I'm going to keep the stock cable.  Any suggestions where I can have these re-terminated and how much it might cost?  Thanks.

The T1's sound really good when balanced. The background's become very black and the amp has better control of the drivers as balancing powers both the ground and hot wire. And man I would love to get a WA22 but I can't afford one at all.

yep.  id love a wa22 too lol but aint gonna happen!

With the T1s (600 ohms) and OTL amp would be ideal as they can typically swing voltages better than other amps.

Well then eventually a WA2 then!

Or a CSP2+, also SET OTL with pre-amp out.  I often wonder if they are sonically twin?

#1757 here.

Took a while to post since I didn't look at the number before I put them on, and was loathe to remove them to look.   smily_headphones1.gif   The T1s came in the mail today. I have been amping with a Valhalla, and I'm quite impressed. I first heard them on a WA5LE and knew I had to get a pair. I'll have to look into some other tube options soon, but I do have a Beta22 I'm working to finish too. I can't wait to do some A/Bing.
