Hi everyone, i placed the order today on the T1 + the M-stage for a total 1050$ from amazon. the T1 is used (Like New) from amazon for about 750$ plus shipping. and the M-stage black usb version for 300$, but the sad thing is the m-stage will take 20-28 days to ship from China to US then about a week to KSA << long journey hah !!

In my top 5 headphones of all time. I love the T1 and it can be improved further with a better cable to rebalanced. It is a better headphone in my opinion than the HD800, apart from the comfort level.

Not a problem...Herr Meier offers the T1s for $1k shipped, and he's currently throwing in a Rock amplifier for free :)

My T1 (SN:521x) looks like the picture on the right.... the angled driver. I've never seen a T1 look like that one on the left.... perhaps that's what it looks like without that angled piece in it...?

I have made up my mind and are now just getting the t1s with the headzone game instead of getting the realizer a8!headzone with the t1s.jpgBeyerdynamicT1Large.jpgTo me it seems a bit pointless buying the realizer a8 and then having to buy a headphone amp to go with it, beyerdynamic all the way for me..I am just waiting for the super oled to come out now! but this looks like it's worth waiting for it looks 3d without glasses and windows 8 isn't out yet so i am still waiting before i build my new gaming pc..

You guys know I'm not fond of the Liquid Fire as I find it's performance-to-price to be severely disappointing. Not a bad amp, but quite expensive for what it is and I feel it should sound much better for the price.

I personally like the WA2 much more than the Liquid-Fire as I believe it's the better value, and they perform about the same for the T1. When I had the LF o hand along with the WA2, I found the the LF did have an overall better sound which was more controlled. It's just that it's not all that much better than the WA2. Just my opinion though guys, so don't get mad at it at all.

I prefer my Auditor to both the LF and WA2. I find the Auditor to have much more control, extension, faster transients, and so on. Thig is that the Auditor is not as versatile as the LF. The LF can power both high impedance and low impedance really well. The Auditor and WA2 are for high impedance only sadly..

Oh and if you love tube sound I can see why so many flock to the LF. It's signature is extra creamy :)

That just goes to show you that everyone hears things differently. I really didn't get into the Phonitor (and Burson) with the T1s. It only paired with one or two headphones (and not the T1s) reasonably well that I threw at it. It was atrocious with low impedance headphones and just off tonally to my ears. I would hardly call the LF's signature as "creamy" and this is coming from a GS-1 owner. wink.gif Could also be the tubes you used. It does kick up a few levels with tubes other than the crappy-to-average JJ stock tubes. Same goes for the WA22 and WA2. With the T1s, the very best amps I've heard (in order) were the LF, WA22 and WA2. All three were a much better choice with the T1s. But as they say...IMO, YMMV, smile.gif

Quite true MH. It's all a mater of opinion. On the LF I heard, it was using Amperex tubes as well as Mullards. I do not know which ones though. It just didn't impress me at all. Maybe with different tubes the outcome will be different but right now my opinion stands as that the LF is quite average for it's price. If it were $1,000 then it would worth it and I would shell out the cash. I just don't find anything innovative in the amp either. It's not hard to have dual outputs like the LF does, and does not warrant the giant price. I'm also a believer that the parts used change the sound. As long as the specs are good then there should be no difference in sound.

On that note that's why I would rather upgrade the parts in my WA3 than have Jack do it himself and get charged a pretty penny. The parts he uses aren't that expensive, but he charges way to much for any upgrades. I can get nice Teflon tube sockets for $10 or so each, not $150 like he asks. I can get the upgrade tubes he offers as well for half or even less than half of what he wants.

Sorry about the little rant guys. Been a long and stressful day.

Well then, either one of us need to have their hearing checked. tongue.gif  I thought except for the sexy gauges, the Phonitor was meh with pretty much everything (except for strangely enough the K701) and downright horrible with low impedance headphones and orthos. The LF trounced it in every category (except for those sexy gauges) to my ears.

Now which one is right? I'd say we both are...and we each own the right amp for ourselves.

I have actually sent Beyerdynamic an inquiry on their webpage on this same issue about 3 weeks ago and never got a reply. I asked them whether there is an updated or revised T1, and if yes what are the changes and the starting serial number that reflects the changes in the new T1. The T1 is actually in my shortlist apart from the Audeze LCD2 and DT880/600.

Can someone send Beyerdynamic this question to get an official reply? I will be sending them a message for the 2nd time after this.
