What about a DAC ? Essence ST is Ok but it's the weakest link in your system .

I only have a C2.1 SS amp , and i am uber happy with my T1 , strenghts of K702 and DT-880 in one , and everything enchanced tongue_smile.gif

.

Baby steps my friend. tongue_smile.gif
I'm still trying to find the right DAC that would fit my need - one with async USB and multiple outputs as I'm still planning to add a pair of STAX, which needs its own amp, to the mix.  Eventually the goal is just to have one dynamic headphone system and one electrostatic system, right now the ST is doing fine so I'm sticking with that and shifting around the other bits which I'm not using/phased out by better equipment.

Congrats! I adore the WA2-T1 duo.

Store up as much sleep as you can before your amp arrives.

so heres a story...

i accidentally sat on my T1s because they fell out of my desk onto my chair frown.gif

i called beyer repair because my headphones where bought used from amazon and i wasn't sure if they would be covered under warranty. i told them the whole story and explained that the frame was bent up. (i also mentioned that there was a driver rattle since i noticed it in the right driver when i raised the volume really loud on a rap song).

anyways the guy was really nice and told me that as long as i provide the receipt and the headphones are under 2 years old, they would be serviced at no charge.

AWESOME!

second time beyer has serviced my headphones, last time it was for a driver failure on my dt 990s,  they where really fast last time and got them back to me in a little over a week.

some of the best customer service ever, even better than grado lol. will keep buying headphones from them tongue.gif

just gotta wait about a week or 2 to get them back now...biggrin.gif

Interesting they are servicing them for free even though you told them you sat on it.

:D

yeah, i didn't feel like lying though since i couldn't think of anything to really say, especially considering i bought them a month ago used.

I got this from a review.

*The stock Beyerdynamic T1 comes with a relatively good (by ALO's own admission) 24awg Sommercable cable and a 1/4 neutrik   connector. While those are already better than what you get in many headphones, ALO (and other cable makers) offer “upgraded” cables.

Good to know that i don't need to buy a aftermath cable.

But i'm very tempted to dismantle the plastic 1 inch  halfways without cutting the cable

and fix it to a 1/4 plug to hear if there is any difference to 10ft /5ft  length.

Poor T1 , you should be burned for such heresy , injure your own ass next time not a  headphone mad.gif .

Baah you got some nice headphones you can easely wait for T1 come back . Some can only afford one or two cans , and worship them rolleyes.gif , "my precious" or something like that .

Beyer customer service is nice , even for canceling orders : 3 days laters money is back (bank transfer).

Funny, my T1s (bought here in Canada) come with a 5 year warranty. Glad to hear beyer will be talking care of you.

I feel much better about my T1 now that I got one of those Sennheiser headphone stands that clips on to my table nicely. Feels safer.

But still no DAC... I've listened with the T1 a few times lately going from my iPhone to Auditor to T1. It'a certainly missing something... well, a lot, but the sound is still lovely.

Anyone who is willing to sell their T1s with new headband for a good price to the US, pm me. biggrin.gif

Think I'd rather get the T1 than the Headzone. XD

Lucky you! I got mine from beyer direct and it doesn't has 5 years warranty!

That is strange. I also ordered mine directly from Beyer two weeks ago and mine came with a 5 year warranty.

You are correct! I had only looked at the guarantee booklet and it said 2 years and then I notice the additional bit of card for T1 and it said extended 5 years guarantee.
