This is probably already known, but the T1 is available at Amazon for $999.95.

I saw that as well. Certainly a pretty good price for those thinking about buying. I've got to wait a few more weeks before I make a purchase.

My friend Leo said the HD650 was bright but that can't be. The HD650 is so rolled off that there are no peaks in the treble. It's like using an E to bring the treble down quite a bit. Also the HD650 is so bassy that the treble should be even further smothered.

Don’t trust this offer! The regular price for the Beyerdynamic T1 (including VAT):

Beyerdynamic website: € 890,-

Thomann Cyberstore: € 890,-

Amazon.de: € 890,-

Ich würde dieser Website auf keinen Fall vertrauen, da dort offensichtlich Kopien verschiedener Luxusgüter verkauft werden. Zitat von der Website:

Welcome to www.beyerdynamicofficial.com,we provide the women's bag products, including Louis Vuitton Handbags ,Gucci Handbags,Coach Handbags,Chanel Handbags and so on.

Kind regards (herzliche Grüße)

Werner.

It's the same as those brand-name goods from eBay dealers in Hong Kong that are strangely very cheap because they are "direct from the factory" -- they are direct from factories that make fake versions.

I never said that the HD650 is fatiguing and/or sibilant - it is neither, to be sure. But to my ears, the T1 is even smoother even though it has very prominent treble (unlike the HD650). I hope this clarifies things :-)

I have bought the HD650 only a few weeks ago btw. Sometimes it is nice to have a relaxed sounding headphone that can even sound good with poor recordings.

Selling some games, anime, BD/DVDs, CDs, etc that I've been meaning to sell on Amazon to help fund this more quickly. :D These babies will be at my doorstep soon enough.

Wanted to share, the NFB-10SE plays very nicely with the T1.
