The Official Beyerdynamic T1 Impressions and Discussion Thread - Page 75

the human ear is very sensitive for the midrange. much more than for highs and lows.

if the midrange is more emphasized (pronounced), the more attantion your brain becomes from music because the top end and bottom don't disturbs the midrange detections so much.

the human-voice is the most important instrument in music. everything else is secondary.

that's what grado does for years. and they succeed.

you will get the most emotions from male and female singers. thats normal, humanbeing. we love our organum for thousands of years. our ear is hungry for natural sounds.

lower treble and bass could be sometimes more fun than linear listening sessions with ultra-balanced characteristic like T1.

even iGrado can sound sometimes more involving than T1. yes! ... I KNOW it sounds weird but its true. so high fidelity is not everything.

sometimes i want to feel the music, not hear it. T1 is spectacular but not a fun-can. if somebody suggest it is, thats because he/she dont want to realized the fail-purchase in that area.

people will say it very rare for a 1000+$ headphone that it is NOT envolving.

thats because of the hard earned money from what they bought it.

i understand this point. but T1 should consider (reconsider) for a german nr 1. or something like that and not for emotion-can. and thats sad for the prize. but for german ears this is best (and hd800). the headphones produced in germany are precise and fast and hard and punctual, and technology oriented. the achivement is stunning, but more for the ears than for your heart.

somebody gs1000i vs t1 ? or rs1i vs t1 ?

wow i'm #1111 post number here :-)

You are not looking for opinions, you want validation.  You have already made up your mind.  Several people have already told you that the RS1 is not in the T1s league, but if you keep asking you might find someone that will tell you that the RS1 blows the T1s mid range away, then you will be happy.

I'm still in heaven.

There's moments where I feel my spine go cold, and my hairs stand up in awe, just from being surprised by the audio quality these cans provide.

Everything... sounds just right.

Have you heard the LCD r2? From description this would seem better for metal than r1. r1 had no top end when I heard it (albeit in meet conditions)

But nothing touches the LCD2 r1 for Metal, period.

coloration is not always a bad thing.

even a tube amp is in some degree a coloration.

and nobody says that you should avoid them.

so i'm not afraid of grado coloration either.

every vocal has its own coloration too.

Excellent analogy. This guy is new hear and wants to tell Beyer how to manufacture a can that most here feel is next to perfect. IMO this is another T1 wannabe that has not much to say.bigsmile_face.gif

For a guy who has never heard or owned a T1 you have a strong opinion of the T1. Until you spend some hours with the T1 or have even heard one your opinion is unsubstantiated here. If you are so fond of your Grado IEM stay with grado and until you have actually heard   a T1 your opinion is not valid here.biggrin.gif

You seem wierd.  Go and buy your Grado.  Or jump on a Grado appreciation thread and get what you seem to be looking for.  You are simply trolling now, either on purpose or otherwise.

i own so i discuss...

... live with that.

either something is being lost in translation or trying to be funny? im  not sure but its not its kind of annoying

Every man is entitled to his opinion. From everything you write it seems you want a grado.

I have SR325is and a DT880. If the T1 is a "supersized" 880 and the RS-1 is a "supersized" 325 they should compliment each other AND be good with metal. Also, from what i read is that a RS-1 isn't up there in overall quality.

I'd say, get a 225 or a 325 and see if you really do like the grado sound.

Involving is subject to taste. I find the DT880 involving. Its the soundstage and the clarity that does it, not the mids like the grado's.

Everyone is trying to help and you start kicking them in the jewels because they tell their thoughts, which dont seem to line up with yours.

I don't own a T1 but I want to. IMO the T1 is one of the sleekest looking headphones around. I have yet to listen to one but there is so much positive talk of its overall qualities that I need to get one soon.
