Wait! Has anyone actually tried using a Sony A845 with an external amp? I say this because I own one, and I was thinking of buying a Fiio E5 for it, but the A845 comes with an internal AMP already. From what I read somewhere another amp ruins the sound pretty badly. If anyone has tried this combination please let me know your impressions, as I am always looking for new ways to improve my A845's SQ ^^

I have the A847 and you have the A845 the only difference between the 2models are bigger storage and using an external amp like the fiio E5 does not ruin the sound in fact imo it improves it somewhat!

Ok I wasn't trying to imply anything, I had not understood what your impressions were, and I simply read otherwise in another forum, but since you're talking about the exact Fiio E5 and not just any amp like they were, I'll take your word for it =)

Does anyone know if the firmware can be updated to make the NWZ-A847 play albums (in track order) randomly? For some bizarre reason this function has not be kept from the HD series.
