Are you kidding? they are at $129 at amazon...
Not sure if its a temporary price drop.
I saw that too, but unfortunately it's the EW9 "Clip On" type which is different. Not the same as the ESW-9 which is the full sized version.

I think he is talking about esw9 japan or the similiar esw9a. I heard of adorama.com before. they are great when I was purchasing camera products. I bought like about 2k worth of photo stuff and all went smooth. They been around for a while.
I wonder how the esw9a hold up against the hd25-1 II. I would imagine pretty close and probable come down to sound signature favors.
Well I took back my HFI-680s and bought the ESW-9 online. I hope they're at least worth keeping. I also ordered them with next day delivery since I can't wait. Too bad nobody delivers on Sunday! I think they'll be good for most of my music. The frequency chart of them looks a bit ugly though.
ESW-9 sure the heck isn't cheap! They're about the same price in Japan though it seems if you go through say Amazon.co.jp
(can't ship to the USA though).
it will probable be worth it. Lucky you, I want try those. I guess I have to wait until I can afford to get its rival the senn. HD25
Hi there,
I am using the Shure for about 2 weeks now, and I must say I am surprised in a very good way.
As a matter of fact, these headphones that can be found largely under 200£ now, provide a precise sound, deep basses( definitely not Bassy boomboom ones) but accurate ones, are well built in a spirit of long lasting utilisation, they don t need any amp at all. Plus, the spacialisation of intruments is more than okay for closed cans. After 100h of listening, now all the mediums have found there respective places and I wouldn t recomment any other.( even though I never heard the hD 25).
Hope it will help you in your research!
