FS/FT: Shure SE530PTH + Adapter ------- with cable issues - SOLD

Feedback - ebay user "briansemerick" - 157 (100% positive, 10 years)

Hi all.  I decided to get the 535's and not a moment too soon.  My 530's are starting to cut out in the right ear, and the issue has been isolated to the cabling up near the phone connection.  I'm sure it's an easy fix, but I'm not good in that area - and these are 2.5 years old so they are out of warranty.

Issues:

- * Right ear cutting out sound when moved * - only major defect

- Rubber cable directors came off, I super glued them slightly around the edges, came off again.  There is a slight impression of glue on the back of the Left earphone where I flubbed and touched it. (cosmetic)

- Left cable director is splitting (cosmetic).  Tried to dab glue to close the split, to no avail. (cosmetic)

- Left earphone's filter is missing due to overzealous cleaning - slightly punched it in by accident with the tip of a paperclip.  Should've used the cleaner, but I was at work and was a novice.  Full disclosure. (minor)

Basically all of these would be moot if you re-cabled them.  The filter on the left is missing, however I have never noticed a sound difference since my mishap.  You may be able to put in a new filter if you're going to crack them open anyway.  So if you're up to the task and want some great sounding SE530's, here's your chance.  Without the cable issue they have sounded amazing for 2.5 years, which is why I'm getting the 535's.

(as a testament to these phones, I'm still using them at the moment even with the cutting out at certain angles.  They usually work ok, but it's definitely an issue.  Beautiful sound)

Included:

Shure SE530's - all cables, adapters, tips, case included.  Everything you'd get new.

PTH Control ($70 value new) - http://store.shure.com/store/shure/en_US/DisplayProductDetailsPage/productID.104994500

Music Phone Adapter MPA-3C for iPhone ($50 new) - http://store.shure.com/store/shure/en_US/pd/productID.105498400

I'm at work and can't do it justice with iphone pictures, so I will take some shots tonight if I can.

The cheapest you'll find these for new on amazon/ebay/etc is $360, and that doesn't include the $50 iphone voice adapter.  Asking $OLD shipped for all.  Will use Priority USPS Mail 2-3 with confirmation.  Paypal add 3%.  Upgraded shipping available for cost.  ONLY TO THE CONUS.

TRADES CONSIDERED.  Interested in DBA-02, AKG-701/702, DT-880/990, among others.  Not interested in on-ear phones, only looking for IEM or Around Ear.  Also interested in headphone amps - Little Dot, etc.

Will post pics soon.  Thanks for looking

That price is still pretty high. How much for just the SE530 without the adapters, tips and such.

Not looking to sell separately at the moment, since i'd have no need for the PTH or Music Phone Adapter (cables are different lengths) - and the PTH is part of the package anyway.  I don't know if there would even be much market for those by themselves, and i'm not really factoring in the cables to the price much anyway.  The tips and everything is part of the package, they came with - I bought a pack of new tips, so I'll replace the ones I used.

In your case, you could get it completely molded with Fischer for 80 bucks, as are the ones in your avatar.  Which still only puts it at around $260 plus a cable.  Better than $360 for sure!

If you can do this, or get someone to do this for a small fee, it'd be good too:
