Iphone 4 Line Out Cable???

I'm a newbie here although been a lurker for a long time.

I'm currently using a Hornet for my iTouch with a line out cable with a mini plug.

The cable has worked like a charm for my iTouch but when I tried using it on my new iPhone 4 I get no signal. 

What kind of cable do I have to look for to resolve my problem?

But doesn't someone make a simple line out for the iphone 4 that works like the ones everyone makes for the older generation itouch and iphones?

Like this one but better quality???

What generation is your ipod touch? I guessing first gen.

I am very much aware of that, the OP has also stated that he used the same LOD with his Ipod touch.

If the ipod touch he used to use is first gen, I know exactly what's wrong.

Sorry to resurrect an month old thread, but I just bought an iPhone and none of my line out cables work.  They turn the phone's speaker on.  The docs have worked on 3 generations of iPod classics.

the iPhone's are different. I don't know why, but you need a lod spicifically for them.
