Hi Guys,
Just recently I was given a used iPhone 8GB as my business phone - this is my first contact with Apple gear. I wanted to play around with iPod application on it but when using my regular headphones such as Grado SR-60 I noticed that music comes out from one headphone speaker only, only left channel. After some reading on the net I decided to buy me a headphone adapter that - according to its producer - enables me to plug in any kind of headphones into the iPhone/iPod headphone out.
When using the adapter with the headphone plug all the way in I still hear the mono sound only. When I take the headphone plug a little bit out of the adapter (still in, but not all the way) I do get stereo sound. Please, see pictures.
Do you happen to know what is the problem? Is there something wrong with the adapter or the iPhone out itself? Of course I am able to use it for stereo listening with that little space between the adapter and the plug, but I get the feeling that it may be a loose connection and one day it will simply fall apart.
P.S. I am sorry if this question was already answered on head-fi - I tried to use the "search" button but didn't come accross such problem.
