Beautiful work!  I hope you get a great price for it.  You certainly did fine work.

What's a good temperature to use when soldering on new wires?

Wouldn't that depend on your solder? Go to the lowest temp you can above that I guess.

Somewhere in the middle of the range. You want to get in and out as fast as possible without heating up (melting) any surrounding plastic.

I use between 700 and 750 F. It's really important that you tin your tip first. Otherwise you run the risk of holding your iron there for too long and burning out the magnet wire.

If you mean the headband I have one. A little thick in my opinion.DSCN4718.JPG

Ditto, I got one, and I don't like it very much.

Would you be interested in selling it?

Hello again everyone, I posted this same thing in the Grado Mods thread:

I really enjoyed modding my Grado's, so if anyone is interested in white or any re-coloration of Grado's PM me I'd love to help you out :)

Got my Dynamat Extreme in the mail and went to work. I decided to put some on the back of the driver as well as cover up the sides of the plastic enclosure.

Can't comment on sound yet as I no longer have any cups for the drivers... waiting on my wooden ones to come gs1000.gif

Fresh off the lathe, polished aluminum and walnut hybrid cups. Drivers are still in thier plastic prisons, I realy need to liberate them soon.

#$$#% man, that is beautiful! absolutely beautiful! Begging for a braided copper cable, but those are in my list of top 5 grado mods ever seen.
